Public relations within the context of a selected case in a football environment

Title: Public relations within the context of a selected case in the football environment Objectives: The main objective of this thesis is to analyse and understand the role of public relations in dealing with and managing controversial situations in the football environment in the context of different perceptions of a particular issue and to evaluate the effect of public relations of the club in the selected case. Methods: qualitative methods were used in this study - analysis of texts, documents, websites, social networks, press releases or statements of clubs and stakeholders. The triangulation method was also used to ensure greater objectivity and credibility of the findings. Results: the chosen case for this thesis was the Europa League return leg between Rangers FC and SK Slavia Prague and the subsequent accusation of racism against the Slavic defender Ondřej Kúdel. The case sparked a worldwide response. In the research carried out, it can be concluded that Slavia successfully coped with the public relations challenges in this situation. In terms of public relations strategies, the club first stood up for its player and rejected any association of the club and the player with racism, thereby gaining credibility with the Czech public. This thesis deals with the far-right parties in the European Parliament. Emphasis is placed on the situation after the elections to the European Parliament in 2014 and the post-election negotiations to create a single far-right political groups. The work introduces the theoretical concepts of the far-right, nationalism, anti-Semitism, racism, xenophobia, populism and euroscepticism. It also deals with the issue of the European Parliament, the formation of political groups and the character of the European elections. Far-right parties in the European Parliament are presented in a separate chapter, which deals with the history of their associating into political groups, the results of the 2014 European elections and negotiations about possible cooperation. Rhetoric and ideology of the far-right is presented on the example of three parties - the National Front, the UK Independence Party and the Golden Dawn.

Jakub Ženíšek ABSTRACT This thesis concerns itself with xenophobia and war induced paranoia and its features and impacts on human behaviour in the work of David Guterson Snow Falling on Cedars. The first part explains the differences in individual terms, describes unification theories and outlines the issue of dual loyalty. The second part identifies features of xenophobia in individual characters of Guterson's work. This analysis is supported by the theoretical foundation from the first section. Discrimination in a multicultural society as a pedagogical problem

This thesis is focused on the problem of discrimination in education and generally in the Czech republic. In the theoretical section are explained the main concepts of discrimination, racism and xenophobia. It also contains basic laws with discriminatory issues. Next it deals with the description of a multicultural society, which builds on multicultural education, which helps children better understand and tolerate the minority in the Czech republic. The practical part is processed on the basis of a questionnaire designed for three types of schools (rural, urban, metropolitan) and determines the orientation of students of selected schools in foreign issues and maps their opinions, attitudes and experience with minorities. Hate Crimes

Hate Crimes Abstract The author of this thesis discusses the issue of hate crimes according to the Act No. 40/2009 Coll., The Criminal Code, as amended, and related case law. The thesis is divided into several parts. The first part is devoted to the definition of hate crime and related terms such as extremism, prejudice, race, anti-Semitism, nationalism and xenophobia. These concepts are important for the following interpretation and for the understanding of the existence of special protection in the context of hate crimes. The second part is devoted to the international regulation of hate crimes. Emphasis is places on the analysis of the case law of the European Court of Human Rights. The third and fundamental part of this master thesis analyzes hate crimes in the Czech Republic in the context of settled and current case law. In addition, examples of statements fulfilling the facts of individual crimes from practice are given. The fourth part analyzes the basic issues of hate speech and hate crimes in the United States legislation and case law. It also includes comparison of individual approaches with ideas of possible inspiration.
